Who We Are

Meet our spiritual leader, Rev. Robert Hopkins.

Pastor Hopkins began serving as the pastor at St. John's Lutheran Church and St. Peter's Lutheran Church in July 2022.

Pastor Hopkins was born in Pasadena, CA, but grew up in Mississippi, where he lived until 2005. He moved back to California, where he met his wife, Kirstin, a Lutheran pastor's kid. The couple have been married since 2007.

In 2012, they moved to Indiana. Pastor Hopkins attended seminary, graduated in 2016, and accepted his first call to Superior, NE. He served as a pastor in Nebraska for six years before accepting a call to serve in Cadott and Boyd.

Church Council

2nd Tuesday of the Month at 7:00 PM

The Church Council oversees all church matters and carries out the wishes of the congregation passed through voter meetings. The council is made up of the president, council secretary, treasurer, pastor, financial secretary, and the chairpersons of the boards of elders, trustees, education, and stewardship.

Board of Elders

2nd Tuesday of the Month at 6:30 PM

The Board of Elders consists of six members and the pastor. They oversees spiritual matters, including memberships, transfers, discipline cases, Bible studies, care for the hospitalized and shut-in members, usher teams, and communion distribution.

Board of Trustees

2nd Tuesday of the Month at 6:30 PM

Trustees are elected by the congregation and are responsible for the legal affairs and contracts. They take care of maintaining the property grounds and buildings by supervising custodial work, overseeing congregational work day events, and arranging for professional contractors.

Board of Education

2nd Tuesday of the Month at 6:30 PM

The Board of Education is comprised of elected members and the pastor. The board oversees our Sunday School and Vacation Bible School programs. They also set policy for all of the church's Christian educational efforts.

Board of Stewardship

2nd Tuesday of the Month at 6:30 PM

The Board of Stewardship encourages members to utilize their gifts of time, talents, and treasures to serve Christ, the world, and each other. They are responsible for fundraising for building projects, debt retirement, and educating the congregation on giving opportunities for designated gifts and endowments.
